Lib Dems to target appendix

Claiming that Labour and the Conservatives were "targeting the hearts and minds" of voters, party leader Sir Menzies Campbell said that it was "only natural" for the Lib Dems to target the "appendixes of the electorate".
Appendix
"Like the appendix, political scientists believe that the now-redundant party had a useful part to play in a Parliamentary body over a century ago, before evolving into an ultimately redundant political organ," the former runner told a less-than-crowded press conference.
"We like to think that by targeting this part of the body of voters, they will come to realise the true value of the Liberal Democrats."
However, he poured scorn on those who said that the appendix was a useless organ, reminding those present of the dangers of appendicitis and the damage the appendix can do to the body.
Gut
In addition, Sir Menzies said that he was proud to say that his party lacked "commonsense" revolution of the Tories and the "think Labour" campaigns of the past.
"Instead, we hope, if that's alright with them, of course, that voters will reach for their guts and think of the Lib Dems."
The Conservatives dismissed the latest campaign, saying that its own methods would hold "true blue", although it blamed Labour defence cuts for a decrease in its key retired colonels demographic.
Sphincter
Similarly, Labour announced that its "at least we're not Tories" slogan would keep it in power for another election, despite its policies.
Our very own InnitNews.co.uk survey in response to this found that most voters were an election called tomorrow, "they would vote for Tony Blair, because he's the prime minister".
In being told that this was no longer the case, most shrugged their shoulders and said they'd vote for the Queen or "that nice man from the telly" instead.
